Privacy Policy

How Hyve handles your meals, workouts, weight, reminders, and chat. Hyve has no sign-in, stores data on-device, and uses Apple Intelligence on-device for chat actions only.

Hyve has no sign-in flow. Your meals, workouts, weight, and chat history live only on your device.

On-device AI only

Hyve uses Apple Intelligence on-device for chat actions. Nothing is sent to OpenAI, ChatGPT, or any third-party AI provider.

No data selling

We do not collect or sell your personal information. Hyve does not transmit your data off-device.

What Hyve Is

Hyve is a paid wellness logging app for iPhone and iPad. Hyve helps you log meals, log workouts, track weight, and see your progress at a glance. Hyve is a general wellness and lifestyle app and does not provide medical, fitness, nutrition, diet, weight-loss, supplement, injury, or exercise-programming advice.

What We Collect

Hyve does not collect personal data on its servers. The initial release has no sign-in, no account, and no cloud sync. All entries you make stay on your device.

Data Stored On Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and never leaves the device through Hyve:

  • Workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weight, distance, duration, and rest time
  • Meals, foods, custom foods, custom meals, usual meals, and macro totals
  • Weight, height, daily calorie target, goals, activity level, sleep hours, and limitations
  • Reminders, theme preference, and other in-app settings
  • Hyve chat messages
  • A profile photo, only if you choose one from your photo library

Apple Intelligence And On-Device AI

On compatible devices with Apple Intelligence enabled, Hyve uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework to interpret natural-language chat actions — for example, logging a meal, updating a workout, showing progress, comparing date ranges, editing reminders, and navigating between screens.

Hyve does not integrate OpenAI, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or any other third-party AI service. Hyve does not send meal, workout, weight, reminder, progress, or chat data to Dianoia Tech servers, cloud sync, or third-party AI providers.

If Apple Intelligence is unavailable or disabled on your device, the chat shows an availability message and the rest of the app works normally.

Permissions Hyve Asks For

  • Notifications — only if you enable workout, meal, or daily check-in reminders.
  • Photo Library — only if you choose a profile picture.
  • Hyve does not use HealthKit, location, contacts, microphone, camera, advertising identifiers, or any analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

What Hyve Does Not Collect

  • Contact info such as name, email address, or phone number
  • User IDs, device IDs, or advertising identifiers
  • HealthKit, fitness, or clinical health data
  • Precise or approximate location
  • Contacts, calendar entries, photos other than a profile picture you select
  • Browsing or search history
  • Financial information or payment details

Tracking

Hyve does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Hyve does not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.

Deleting Your Data

Because all of your Hyve data lives on your device, you can delete any individual meal, workout, weight entry, reminder, or chat message from inside the app at any time. To delete everything, uninstall Hyve from your device. Since Hyve does not store your data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children

Hyve is intended for general audiences. Hyve does not knowingly collect data from children. The App Store age rating applies to the in-app content.

Security

Your Hyve data is protected by your device's standard iOS storage protections. We use reasonable safeguards within the app, but no system is perfectly secure. Keep your device locked and up to date.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make significant changes — for example, adding any data collection, analytics, cloud sync, or third-party AI processing — we will update the effective date and notify you through the app before the change takes effect.
